Plummer's Contracting was built by a Bourbon County native who grew up on job sites and brought his trade home after four years in the Army. Owner Derek Plummer started the business in 2022, leveraging years of construction experience for residential and commercial clients. Every project carries the same standard: honest pricing, careful planning, and follow-through.

Derek Plummer has been around construction since he was a kid, learning from his father and grandparents on job sites. He went on to study marketing at Morehead State University and then served four years as an Infantry Reconnaissance Sniper with the 25th Infantry Division, 2nd Brigade, 1-21 HHC Company in the Pacific.

After his Army contract ended, Derek came back to the community that raised him and launched the business. Most of our work since then has come through referrals from clients who appreciate being treated like neighbors rather than as invoice numbers.
